Correction to: Cell Biochemistry and Biophysics (2020) 78:455–463
In the original publication of our paper, titled “Lentivirus-Mediated Overexpression of SIVA-1 Reverses Cisplatin Resistance in Gastric Cancer in vitro,” which was featured in the Journal of Cell Biochem Biophys, Vol. 78, Issue 4, Pages 455–463, several errors have been identified requiring correction. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate the opportunity to provide the following clarification:
Error Description: The legend of Figure 3 is inconsistent with the western blotting results and graph data presented. The original Figure 3 legend reads: “The expression levels of the E2F-1 protein were determined by western blotting. Western blotting results were expressed as the ratio of optical density of the E2F-1 bands to that of the GAPDH bands. a Western blot analysis of SIVA-1 and GAPDH in the three groups. b The expression levels of the SIVA-1 protein were measured in the three groups, normalized to GAPDH and presented as the mean ± SEM. *P < 0.05 compared with the MKN45/DDP + Control group and MKN45/DDP group using ANOVA and Student–Newman–Keuls analyses.”
The correct protein name is “SIVA-1” instead of “E2F-1”. Here is the corrected version: The expression levels of the SIVA-1 protein were determined by western blotting. Western blotting results were expressed as the ratio of optical density of the SIVA-1 bands to that of the GAPDH bands. a Western blot analysis of SIVA-1 and GAPDH in the three groups. b The expression levels of the SIVA-1 protein were measured in the three groups, normalized to GAPDH and presented as the mean ± SEM. *P < 0.05 compared with the MKN45/DDP + Control group and MKN45/DDP group using ANOVA and Student–Newman–Keuls analyses.
These corrections do not significantly affect the overall findings and conclusions of the paper. We want to assure readers that these corrections do not alter the interpretations or validity of the research. We sincerely apologize for any confusion these errors may have caused and appreciate the opportunity to rectify them. We thank the editors and readers for their understanding.
