Co(III)-catalyzed allylation reaction of 2-alkenylpyridines with 2-vinylaziridines: access to 1,4-dienes

A Cp*(CO)CoI2-catalyzed C–H allylation of 2-alkenylpyridines with 2-vinylaziridines is described. This method provides an efficient access to the synthetically useful 1,4-diene skeletons. The approach features simple reaction system, nitrogen-containing group retainment, atom economy, short reaction time, wide scope substrates and good tolerance of functional groups.
