Cardiac and pericardial inflammatory changes and post-cardiac surgery atrial fibrillation

Image 5Dr. Mohammad El Diasty is a cardiac surgeon and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Case Western reserve University, OH, USA. He obtained his MD degree from Mansoura University, Egypt. After finishing his Cardiovascular Surgery residency training in Spain in 2012, he completed advanced sub-specialty fellowship training in the UK, the USA and Canada. Dr. El Diasty is the Lead Investigator at El-Diasty Cardiac Surgery Research Lab, that was established in January 2021. He has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals. His main area of research interests is focused on the local inflammatory response and molecular basis of postoperative atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
