Xingzhong Feng, M.D., is a professor, chief physician, and doctoral supervisor, currently serving as Vice President of Yuquan Hospital of Tsinghua University (Tsinghua University Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital). He completed his medical education and doctoral training at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, receiving mentorship from renowned figures including Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine Renhe Lv, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Yongyan Wang, and Capital National TCM Master Chengcong Xiao through advanced clinical talent programs. Prof. Feng is deeply engaged in the integration of Chinese and Western medicine, with a particular focus on endocrine and metabolic disorders such as diabetes. He has led numerous national and provincial research projects, including those supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the National Key Research and Development Programs, and has received honors such as the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. He has authored or co-authored over 90 academic papers and 15 professional monographs and standards, including Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment for Diabetes and Its Complications. Prof. Feng holds multiple academic leadership roles: he is a board member of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Vice Chairman of its Diabetes Branch, and serves on several professional committees of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies and the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine. He also contributes actively to medical education at Tsinghua University, where he teaches integrative medicine courses for both medical and non-medical students, promoting health literacy and traditional culture among broader audiences. In recognition of his contributions, he has been named among China’s Top 100 Outstanding Young TCM Practitioners and Capital Famous TCM Doctors, among other honors.
