Jürgen Schrader, MD, is a Professor at the Medical Faculty and University Hospital Düsseldorf, Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and Senior-Professor at the West German Heart and Vascular Center at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Dr. Schrader's research focus is on adenosine metabolism and its key role in the control of cardiovascular processes. He is following a multidisciplinary approach that integrates molecular, functional, and imaging methods to better understand the regulation and coordination of cardiac and vascular functions.
