High Commissioner of India visits University of Plymouth

The High Commissioner of India to the UK, Mr Vikram Doraiswami has visited the University of Plymouth

Along with colleagues, he made the journey from London to speak with leading executives and academics, and meet students, as well as touring some of the University’s outstanding research and teaching facilities.

The rare visit reflects strengthening ties between Plymouth and India, through the shared pursuit of excellence in higher education.

The University of Plymouth has operated in India for nearly 20 years. As a well-established brand in the South Asia region, it has colleagues based in New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.

Almost 300 students from India study at Plymouth – with around half of them studying in the Faculty of Health – and the University employs 70 academics of Indian origin.
