Correction to: Evidence for Intermittent Theta Burst Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for Dysphagia After Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

This errata corrects errors that were inadvertently introduced during the online revision.

1. The original Figure 2 (which was erroneously deleted when the online revision was carried out, resulting in typographical problems with subsequent images (Figures 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 in the published article should have been changed to Figs. 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, which was duplicated in the text and should have been deleted). The corrected images are shown below.

2. In the results section of the article, there is a duplicate paragraph in the meta-analysis of PAS ‘The Penetrating Aspiration Scale (PAS) was used to assess the presence and severity of misaspiration during the Video Fluoroscopic Swallowing Study (VFSS) and the Flexible Endoscopic Examination Swallowing Study (FEES). Its severity is measured on a scale of 1 to 8, a higher PAS score in stroke patients indicates a higher severity of dysphagia [35]. Figure 5 shows that iTBS significantly reduces patients’ PAS scores and reduces the risk of patient accidental aspiration (MD = − 1.00, 95%CI − 1.35 to − 0.65, P < 0.01), heterogeneity test I2 = 48%, P = 0.15, indicating mild heterogeneity (Fig. 5)’, and it is requested that the duplicate paragraph be deleted.

3. In the explanation of the results section, in the meta-analysis of the PAS, FOIS, and FEDSS sections, the MD in the results analysis section was incorrectly labeled as SMD.
