UNS – The Faculty of Engineering (FT) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, through its Student Executive Board (BEM FT UNS), successfully organized APATIK (Apresiasi Teknik) 2024. Held in the courtyard of the UNS Rectorate Building on Saturday (30/11/2024), this annual event aims to honor and celebrate FT UNS students who have achieved remarkable accomplishments at both national and international levels.
This year’s APATIK was a lively affair, featuring a series of exciting activities. The event began with demonstrations from various Student Activity Units (UKM), showcasing the skills and creativity of the students, including contributions from Bengawan UNS. The festivities continued with performances by bands from multiple departments within FT UNS, including Urban and Regional Planning, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering. This diverse lineup highlighted the strong spirit of collaboration among the departments at FT UNS.
In his opening remarks, FT UNS Dean Prof. Dr. Ir. Wahyudi Sutopo, S.T., M.Si., expressed his hope that students would remain actively engaged in competitions and motivated to achieve further success. He emphasized that the event not only serves to recognize achievements but also provides an opportunity for students to hone their soft skills.
“APATIK is an annual event organized by engineering students for engineering students. It is expected to enhance students’ soft skills while offering appreciation and valuable experiences for the organizing committee,” he stated.
During the event, Prof. Ir. Dody Ariawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., UNS Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, also shared his thoughts on the initiative.
“APATIK has become increasingly engaging and vibrant. Hopefully, more engineering students will be inspired to participate in such events in the future,” he remarked.
The night concluded with energetic performances by the music groups Traffic Jam and Diskoplo, which entertained the audience with their dynamic music. The event not only served as a platform to celebrate achievements but also provided students with opportunities to showcase their talents and enthusiasm for engineering.
With high levels of enthusiasm and support from all elements of FT UNS, APATIK 2024 stands as a testament to the university’s commitment to recognizing and fostering student achievement. “May this inspire future generations to continue innovating and excelling,” Prof. Dody concluded.
