Two methylation FSTs, FST B3/FST B4 (1/2), were obtained from oxidative ring-opening reaction. The structure of 1/2 were elucidated by HRESIMS, 1D, 2D NMR spectra, and comparison of ECD spectra. Subsequently, labeling reactions demonstrated that 1/2 is chemically synthesized from 3/4 and DMSO. Addition, a mechanism for the methylation of 1/2 was proposed.
