ANNA joined with the Health Professions and Nursing Education Coalition (HPNEC), an alliance of over 90 national organizations representing schools, students, health professionals, and communities dedicated to ensuring that the healthcare workforce is educated and trained to meet the needs of all patients, in requesting Congress to provide at least the higher of the two funding levels from the draft House and Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies spending bill for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Title VII health professions and Title VIII nursing workforce development programs for fiscal year (FY) 2023. Providing the higher of the two levels is an essential first step in achieving HPNEC’s recommendation of providing $1.51 billion for the Titles VII and VIII programs.
