Signaling crosstalk between mesenchymal stem cells and tumor cells: Implications for tumor suppression or progression

Mona Alibolandi received her Ph.D. degree in Medical Biotechnology in 2015 from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Iran. Her Ph.D. thesis was awarded as the best thesis by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran, in 2015. Since 2015, she started her career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the School of Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Iran and she was then elected as the University Associate Professor in 2022. She is interested in the synthesis of hybrid biomaterials and designing targeted drug/gene delivery systems (polymersomes, peptosomes, micelles, self-assembled structures and inorganic NPs). She has authored over 199 research papers and several book chapters. She is among 1% highly cited scientists since 2020.
